ABOUT  KAFUU

2002 年生於高雄，並未走在一條「設計好」的音樂道路上。他只是單純喜歡聲音，從動畫配樂到遊戲音樂，自小便用耳朵和直覺探索世界。起初自學鋼琴，沒有比賽獎狀，也沒有嚴格的科班經歷，卻在各種聲音中找到了節奏、情緒，以及可以棲身的空間。

他就讀於國立東華大學音樂系爵士組，主修鋼琴，師從吳昱辰、詹宗霖、Matthew Fullen 與許聰義。對他來說，音樂不是表演，而是一種呼吸。他深受 Jazz、Funk、R&B、Fusion、Gospel 與 Classical 等風格影響，也樂於從 ACG 音樂、文學、宗教或哲學中尋找靈感。

Kafuu 的創作充滿多元與實驗性，不受限於特定風格。他擅長從不同音樂文化中汲取養分，創作如拼貼般交錯融合：從爵士的自由即興，到融合的精緻編排；從放克的強烈律動，到古典的悠揚呼吸，每一個音符都蘊藏他對音樂的理解與情感表達。

除了獨立創作，Kafuu 也積極參與音樂圈的合作與跨界表演。他的作品常常突破傳統界線，呈現出獨特的創作風格。他的演出經歷涵蓋不同尺度與風格——曾與黃瑞豐、溫隆信、楊曉恩、魏廣晧、謝明諺、蔡雯慧、Antonio Hart、謝宇威、蘇婭、昊恩、Nina & John 那就醬樂團、ŽŽ 瑋琪等知名音樂人同台演出，也多次在台灣各大音樂節中展現他的音樂。每一場演出，對他來說，都是一次重新認識音樂、反思自我的契機。他不僅樂於與音樂人互動，更珍惜即興創作中所誕生的無限可能。

Kafuu 的音樂不只是聲音的表達，更是對情感、故事與真理的探索。他的靈感常來自音樂以外的領域：動畫、文學、宗教與哲學書籍，都是創作的源泉。特別是對 ACG 音樂的熱愛，讓他在創作中找到激情與靈感，也看見音樂與視覺、情感與故事交織的可能。

除了傳統音樂形式，他的創作也延伸至 Vtuber 音樂與背景音樂。像是與 Koana 考娜合作的《Good Bear》，以及參與其他音樂人專輯的製作，都讓他體會到音樂與視覺、情感與敘事之間的融合。他的作品並非單純追求聲音的美學，而是一種對生命的深刻詮釋。哲學、文學，甚至宗教思想，這些非音樂領域的元素，時常成為他創作的種子。對他來說，音樂不只是表達，更是一種自我整理與世界對話的過程。在這之中，他不斷挑戰自我，尋找每個音符背後的「意圖」，讓音樂成為內在的整理，也成為與他人溝通的橋樑。

他相信音樂不是炫技的通道，而是內在梳理與共鳴的容器。有時為了讓自己能呼吸，有時為了讓別人也能在音符間安靜地坐下來。未來每一步，無論舞台表演或錄音創作，他都將懷抱對音樂的好奇與探索精神，開拓更多對話的可能。

Kafuu 未來會在創作的路上持續探索與實驗，挑戰不同風格的表達。他計劃在未來作品中，更加融合多元音樂文化與科技元素，讓音樂不再只是聽覺體驗，而是一場多感官的交響。透過不斷學習與實踐，他希望將對音樂的熱情化為具有影響力的作品，持續與世界各地的音樂人合作，讓音樂的力量跨越文化界限，抵達每個人的心中。

• 受邀參與並製作高雄市立海青工商109級畢業歌《掰啦歌》。
   

• 參與台南一日音樂節演出。
   

• 參與歐樂逼《駱駝》製作並擔任鋼琴演奏。

2021

​

• 在高雄電氣街女僕咖啡演出，與niconico知名女唱見《薛南 せつなん》合作。

• 受邀至Spring Wild 野Fun福隆音樂嘉年華演出。
   

• 參與《採到黃金》直播演出。

2022

​

• 參與吹海風音樂節演出，與謝宇威、楊曉恩老師同台。
   

• 在“Let's Swing! ENCORE!”演出，與黃瑞豐老師合作於Marsalis Bar 馬沙里斯爵士酒館。
   

• 受邀至高雄流行音樂中心wijazz演出《Blue Giant》首發音樂會。
   

• 企劃並首次領軍新Project《東方眾 Dongfang Ensemble》，先後在駁二Banana音樂館及花聲客廳演出，並參加台北爵士音樂節《爵代新聲召集令 OPEN CALL 爵士新秀團》。

• 受邀至駁二藝術特區《春遊高雄 - 駁二小夜埕 LNY swing Trip》演出。
   

• 參與《Blue Giant》“New Chapter”專場演出，並致敬電影情節用左手演奏。
   

• 參與《Blue Archive MiXer》專輯製作，負責鋼琴演奏並監修Bigband部分。
   

• 在衛武營國家藝術文化中心擔任Weiwuying爵式WiJazz Records的Open Jam Host。
   

• 《東方眾 Dongfang Ensemble》與吉他手李世鈞於爵式WiJazz Records演出，並受邀至《臺中爵士音樂節》演出。

• 在 Born To Trouble 擔任鍵盤手，進軍ACG領域。
   

• 在STAC大師班工作坊中，擔任法國爵士明星Estelle Perrault的伴奏。
   

• 領軍新樂團《2000 Collective》於《爵對有春 Let's Swing! Let's Spring》演出自己的原創歌曲。
   

• 受智冠音樂多媒體中心邀請錄製個人原創歌曲《Sanctuary》。

Born in Kaohsiung in 2002, Kafuu Chu has never followed a "pre-designed" path in music. He simply loves sound. From anime soundtracks to game music, he has explored the world with his ears and intuition from a young age. Self-taught in piano, Kafuu never pursued formal competitions or intensive academic training but found rhythm, emotion, and a sense of belonging in diverse sounds.

​

Kafuu is currently studying Jazz Piano at the Department of Music, National Dong Hwa University, under the guidance of mentors such as Wu Yu-Chen, Jan Tzung-Lin, Matthew Fullen, and Hsu Chong-Yi. For him, music is not just performance but a form of breathing. Influenced by Jazz, Funk, R&B, Fusion, Gospel, and Classical music, Kafuu also draws inspiration from ACG (Anime, Comic, and Games) music, literature, religion, and philosophy.

His compositions are experimental and diverse, not confined to a single style. He excels in blending various musical traditions, from the free improvisation of Jazz to the intricate arrangements of Fusion, from the driving rhythms of Funk to the serene breathing of Classical music. Every note reflects his understanding of music and his emotional expression.

In addition to solo work, Kafuu is actively involved in collaborations and cross-genre performances. His works often push traditional boundaries and showcase a unique creative style. He has performed alongside renowned musicians such as Rich Huang, David L. Wen, Shawna Yang, Stacey Wei, Minyen Hsieh, Wen-Hui Tsai, Antonio Hart, Hsieh Yu-Wei, Su-Yang, WU Hao En, Nina & John, and ŽŽ Wei-Chi. He has also performed at major music festivals across Taiwan. For Kafuu, every performance is an opportunity to rediscover music and reflect on himself, cherishing the endless possibilities born from improvisation.

Kafuu's music is more than just sound; it is an exploration of emotion, story, and truth. His inspirations often come from outside music: anime, literature, religious and philosophical texts, all serve as sources for his creations. His deep passion for ACG music fuels his creativity, allowing him to find new energy in music and visuals, and bridging emotion and story.

​

Beyond traditional forms of music, Kafuu also creates music for Vtubers and background scores. His collaboration with Koana on the track Good Bear and his involvement in other artists' albums have shown him the integration of music with visuals, emotions, and storytelling. For him, music is not just about aesthetic sound; it is a profound interpretation of life. Philosophy, literature, and even religious ideas often serve as seeds for his compositions. To him, music is not merely expression but a process of self-organization and dialogue with the world. He constantly challenges himself to find the "intention" behind each note, allowing music to serve both as an inner organization and a bridge for communication.

Kafuu believes that music is not a channel for showmanship, but rather a container for inner sorting and resonance. Sometimes it is for his own breath, and sometimes it is to allow others to sit quietly within the notes. As he moves forward in his musical journey, whether on stage or in the studio, he will continue to explore and maintain his curiosity about music, opening up more possibilities for dialogue through sound.

Looking ahead, Kafuu plans to continue exploring and experimenting with different styles of musical expression. He aims to blend diverse musical cultures with technological elements in his future works, creating music that is not just an auditory experience but a multi-sensory symphony. Through constant learning and practice, Kafuu hopes to transform his passion for music into influential works, collaborating with musicians from around the world and transcending cultural boundaries, bringing the power of music into every heart.
